Title

The Potential of Channel Impulse Response Correlation in Integrated Sensing and Communication: A Wideband Measurement Analysis

Abstract
Integrating a sensor in communication systems becomes a warm topic. While communicating between channel elements, namely transmitters, and receivers, an additional device detects objects in the channel vicinity. Those objects change the behavior of received signals. This work proposes an analysis based on channel impulse response (CIR) values, and the characterization is performed using a correlation of the CIR. A measurement was performed, and the result analysis shows that the correlation value drops when an object moves around the elements. The object significantly changes the correlation if it is close to the elements.
