Title

Real-time processing of NDT data for in-line control of production processes

Abstract
In-line monitoring and control of production process will be efficient only when the monitoring and feed back control is also performed on-line or in real-time. Given these conditions of real time monitoring, the process adaptation and optimization will be successful and the process will produce high quality parts on a permanent basis. The key to this success lies in high speed inspections and a system that can generate and process inspection data quickly and reliably. The most efficient data processing applications available today using on software, firmware, and hardware need to be implemented to meet this requirement. Firmware is implemented in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), Graphical Processing Units (GPU), stream and modern cell processors are used for real-time Quantitative imaging. We discuss ultrasonic inspection systems featuring distributed apertures and the use of optimized algorithms and computing structures for the processing thermal data.
