Title

High performance machining of aerospace materials

Abstract
In aerospace industry, products are usually highly sophisticated according to their geometry and material choice in order to fulfill the high demands of their later application. Despite difficulties in the manufacturing process chains, the functionality of parts is therefore put into foreground. These geometric and material restrictions are causally responsible for leaving the production methods and techniques as remaining key cost factor. Manufacture of aerospace goods are therefore are therefore highly engaged in optimizing their manufacturing processes steadily. Within this lecture, recent developments in different manufacturing technologies are shown for selected parts and their specific requirements in order to provide the reader with a snapshot of today's technologies in this filed.
