Plasma coating for superior cast surfaces in release agent-free zinc die casting

Release agents and lubricants can lead to defects on the component surface of zinc die cast parts, which require costly reworking. In the AiF-IGF project GlossyCAST, an innovative plasma mold coating has now been developed that makes it possible to achieve higher casting and surface qualities and better coatability without release agents.
