CrystalPad: Shared Authoring with Annotations

The distributed authoring of documents requires not only the possibility to jointly view and edit a document, but also the ability to create and share annotations. Annotations on living documents can not be adequately done with the bitmap oriented approach of current sketching tools. We present a different approach for electronic annotations, and discuss CrystalPad, a prototype implementation of shared annotation tool.
