Title

Unmanned systems for radiological and nuclear measuring and mapping

Abstract
There is significant potential for the use of unmanned vehicles in scenarios involving radiological and nuclear threats. The paper presents the work of the European Reference Network for Critical Infrastructure Protection on the use of unmanned systems for scenarios involving radiological and nuclear threats. This is accompanied by reporting on the latest trials in this area of application, conducted in the last European Land Robot Trial (ELROB). The paper also discusses the combined ERNCIP workshop & trial in 2017 on unmanned radiation measurement and sampling in an inoperative nuclear power plant.
