Title

A resilient and distributed cabin network architecture

Abstract
Aircraft cabin networks support various functionalities, from entertainment to safety-critical functions such as passenger announcements or light control. For cost, efficiency, energy-reduction and weight architectures for cabin networks should be optimized with respect to required resources and cable in the cabin. This motivates multi-domain architectures. This publication introduces techniques to tighten security and to strengthen the safety features of communication networks by introducing resilience and distributed health checks.
