Digital factory in a cloud and grid environment

Abstract
The contribution illustrates the current approach of the "Grid Engineering for Manufacturing" and achievements of the Fraunhofer IPA department "Digital Factory", emphasizes the potential of facilitating cloud technologies for the support of engineering activities and provides the roadmap to the envisioned approach of "Cloud Engineering for Manufacturing".
