Anwendungsorientierte Leistungsanalyse und Bewertung von Bildauswertungsverfahren

During the last two years, the lITB established an assessment center objective of which is to assist the introduction of machine vision into prospective applications. An assessment system including an image database supports the necessary algorithm testing. This contribution describes how measured algorithm performance can be transformed into an application-specific statement of usefulness. The concept is illustrated by means of a vehicle detection algorithm.
