Recent results in lead-salt laser development at the IPM

Double Heterostrucutre lasers are made by Molecular Beam Epitaxy of PbEuSe and PbSnSe. The highest operation temperatures for diode lasers in the mid infrared were reached with these structures. The operation temperatures, mode quality, and reliability are discussed.
