Title

Integrated material requirement and capacity planning for flow-shop production - a just-in-time concept

Abstract
Production planning and control systems do not support the objectives of short lead times and low holding costs efficiently. Applied in flow-shop production, the disadvantage multiply. Therefore for flow-shop production a specific PPC system is proposed that respects these ofjectives. The high efficiency of the system results from a system design that uses very precise system and graph models of the real production process which is to be planned and controlled. The combination of these models leads to the complete solution of the multi-stage problem. The given approach covers the scope of medium range in a hierarchical production planning system that supports zero inventory and JIT production.
