Type-specific applicability of polycrystalline diamond

The various polycrystalline diamond materials (PCD) available on the market are not equally suitable for the machining of non-metals and non-iron metals. Considering the increasing requirements in cutting, it is necessary to classify PCD according to quantitative characteristics to achieve its potential. The results obtained in examinations of PCD will provide the basis for this classification.
