Programmstudie Rationelle Energieverwendung in Industrie und Kleinverbrauch. Tl.IV. Erfolge und Zukunftschancen

The analyses had four goals in identifying the potentials of energy efficiency in industry and the commercial sector and in speeding up its implementation Boundary conditions of R and D for energy efficiency (e.g. energy prices, new technologies, automation, legislation of environmental protection) in OECD countries were analysed to identify recommendations for energy conservation policy to the Federal German Government. Furthermore, the impacts of rational energy use in industry on the energy economy, production, foreign trade, employment and environment were studied in great detail. The influence of structural changes towards less energy-intensive production was also included in the analysis.
