Continuous fiber reinforced concrete

This chapter deals with the reinforcing mechanism and reinforcing materials for continuous fiber reinforced concrete. A prominent example concerns steel bar reinforced concrete which has been investigated experimentally by using acoustic emission techniques.The failure mode and crack pattern are shown and discussed. The acoustic emission technique has proven successful in detecting cracking.
