Title

Compact 40 GHz RZ-transmitter design applying self-pulsating lasers

Abstract
A compact 40 Gbit/s RZ transmitter has been designed using a self-pulsating PhaseCOMB laser. The novel transmitter has been tested in a transmission experiment over 80 km of SMF. No power penalty was observed.
