Title
Cost-Benefit-Sharing-based Coordination in Logistics Networks
Title Supplement
Presented at International Conference on Supply Chain Management and Information Systems 4., 5. - 7. July 2006
Abstract
In this paper we present a comprehensive approach for an incentive-system in logistics networks based on network-wide evaluation an re-allocation of costs and benefits. A coordination-method for business-networks is presented. We show that alternative allocations of resources based on sharing costs and benefits can give an incentive to the network-partners. This mechanism is called Cost-Benefit-Sharing (CBS). This approach balances the different bargaining-powers through an incentive-system for cooperative behaviour. A case of an Automotive Logistics-Network covering the sourcing process of production parts is presented.
