Integration von Dokumenten in Multi-Vendor-Unix-Netzen

Within the project WAP (Scientist's Working Environment) a system is being developed which supports the scientist at his daily work: word processing -, business graphic -, data handling -, spreadsheets -, communication -, scientific computing -. Local netowrks allow each scientist to have access to these functions from his place of work. A WAP-shell concentrates all needed tools within a homogeneous user interface. Its central service is the possibility for transforming different formats of text, graphic, databases and spreadsheets. It supports library functions to supervise the formats. This enables transparency and offers a homogeneous method of organization to the user.
