Switched-line phase shifters with RF-MEMS and PIN-diodes

This paper presents the examination and the comparison of two switched-line phase shifters operating in the 2.4-GHz ISM-Band. For the first realisation common pin-diodes were used as switching devices. The second phase shifter was realised using RF MEMS switches. The comparison of the two devices considers criteria like control power and energy, quality factor, and third order intercept point among others.
