Title
Business excellence through a robust development process
Abstract
Technical developments have enabled companies to provide goods and services while, at the same time, slashing their requirement for staff and materials. Employment statistics show a steady decrease in the number of people employed in the manufacturing sector. Even the numbers in some areas of the service industry are stubbornly remaining stable. Innovation presents the opportunity to address one of the most pressing problems of our time. The first part of this paper concentrates on demonstrating how a company can be designed to be innovation friendly and the second part considers in detail how appropriate methodology can secure the development process of innovative products.
