PowerPack PP45: Modular electrical energy supply for agricultural machines

The electrification of agricultural implements and the usage of electrical drives require a highly efficient electrical power supply. Mechanical PTO-driven attachments, today are able to fulfil this demand and provide electrical power. In a joint project, funded by the Free State of Saxony, three Saxon companies and two research institutes have developed and tested the PowerPack PP45. This paper describes the methodical approach from theoretical analysis through to practical tests.
