Outlook for Japanese and German future technology - comparing technology forecast surveys

In this book, the Delphi Study on the development of technology, which has been conducted in Germany for the first time along Japanese lines, is analysed. Comparisons of the German and the Japanese results point to the strengths and weaknesses of German technology policy. The study provides companies with a detailed information base about future technology and its development. The new series "Technology, Innovation and Policy" published by the Fraunhofer Institute of Systems and Innovation Research (ISI), makes a contribution to research on innovation and to the discussion of its political consequences. Adopting a practice-oriented, interdisciplinary approach, the series examines the complex requirements of research and innovation, describes their economic and societal impacts, and facilitates the responsible handling of new technologies.
