Integratable Antenna Concepts Based on Conformal Antennas for 3D Radar Systems

The performance parameters of radar modules can be significantly increased by using 3D antennas. Today there are different concepts and different manufacturing technologies for 3D antennas under discussion. The aim of this publication is to derive an approach to match the appropriate 3D antenna packaging technology to the application and to achieve the best performance from the radar module. Examples for different technological approaches will be discussed.
