Adaptive service quality support for telephone cable systems
Abstract
The paper examines quality of service in asymmetrical digital subscriber lines (ADSL), using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, and ADSL, ATM and Integrated Services are described. The paper also deals with quality of service of subscriber termination networks and discusses problems in estimating bandwidth requirements, referring to special problems encountered when variable data rate is employed.
