Abstract
In industrial manufacturing the automated polishing of complex shaped 3D parts is still a demanding task. In many branches like tool making manual polishing is still state of the art. A new approach for polishing 3D parts is polishing with laser radiation. New developments in machine technology as well as CAM-NC data chain now enable the automated laser polishing of many complex shaped parts.
