Laser melting of metal powders using Nd:yag and compact diode laser for micro particle deposition

Abstract
Laser melting of different metal powders is investigated using a Nd:YAG laser system and a compact diode laser. The influence of various process parameters on the physical properties of the molten particles is studied.
