PT-Symmetry Equalization and Time-Space Frequency Mapping in Leaky-Wave Antennas

Abstract
We present here the first complete, fundamental and rigorous general resolution of the broadside gain degradation issue, due to the phase matching of oppositely propagating space harmonics, in periodic leaky-wave antennas (P-LWAs). We show that the solution corresponds to a PT-symmetry of the complex temporal frequency modes, related to topological unit cell asymmetry, by transforming them into complex spatial frequency modes using analytical continuation.
