Fluorinated thermosetting resins for photonic applications

This chapter gives an overview about development of semifluorinated thermosetting resins for use in passive and active integrated optical devices including NLO-polymers. Exemplary four specific classes of thermosetting polymers, the prerequisites for their use, and also the principle processing of the materials are described. The last part deals with the synthesis and characterization of semifluorinated polymers with NLO-chromophores.
