Title

Dehnungen messen mit Laserlicht

Abstract
Coherent laser light is used to measure strain in a non-contacting manner. Combining speckle pattern interferometry with digital image processing yields highly accurate strain data comparable with conventional gauges if quasi-static load is applied. The miniaturized measuring head is described and examples of application are given.
