Title
Picnic: integrating physical artifacts in collaborative settings for context-aware adaptation
Title Supplement
Presentation held at CHI 2010 Workshop Context-Adaptive Interaction for Collaborative Work, April 10, 2010, Atlanta, USA
Abstract
In collaborative work settings like team meetings several physical artifacts e.g. books, printouts, computers, projectors play an important role. Those artifacts as well as the actors themselves are relevant for the current work context and occur in this constellation every time the same or a similar setting recurs. Nevertheless, in current context-aware systems the physical conditions of work settings are barely taken into account. Within the workshop we want to discuss our presented approaches to enrich physical artifacts to integrate them into context-models to provide context-aware adaptation of collaborative tools and services.
