Title
Microanalytical system with integrated chemical and biochemical sensors for environmental control
Abstract
A new concept of a microanalytical system is presented which combines different transducer principles aiming at several model parameters of analytical interest. Enzyme layers and ion selective coatings, ISFETs, amperometric electrodes and optical cells, micropumps and micro channel systems, sample pretreatment and control electronics have been integrated in a miniaturized system for quasi continuous monitoring. The analysis system combines several advantages as low consumption of carrier and calibration solutions, low power supply, and the possibility of mass production.
