A semi-algebraic approach to multiuser beamforming and power control

The problem of joint multiuser beam- forming and power control can be reduced to the search of the minimal-norm element over a set of poly- nomial roots. This problem belongs to the field of semi-algebraic geometry. In this paper we use semi- algebraic techniques to show that the optimal power allocation is unique.
