Development of a software tool supporting the selection of RP process and materials

The general objective of the project is to develop a tool which supports model makers, manufacturers of small batches, service bureaux and other experts who are involved in the production of generative prototypes with different techniques. The support tool shall help to shorten the preparation time of quotations as well as to make the decision process within the different enterprises more reliable. This means to avoid wrong selection of materials and processes and to reduce financial risks based to these selections. Furthermore it is considered as an additional value/services which can be offered by the different enterprises. The project is funded by the European Union (BRITE/EURAM BE-S2-5661).
