Widersprüche, Probleme und Defizite der gegenwärtigen Entwicklung und ihrer Rezeption in der Wissenschaft werden beleuchtet. Es werden zum Teil sehr weitreichende Perspektiven in ethischer, rechtlicher, demokratischer, sozialer, bildungspolitischer und ökonomischer Hinsicht angesprochen.
