Simulation of tape casting: Capabilities and potentials

Tape casting is an important process for creating ceramic foils a market with strong growth prognosis. The authors´ tape casting simulations aim to describe this process on multiple scales ranging from entire tape casting machines down to microscopic aspects of grain orientation. In this article the authors demonstrate the simulation capabilities and discuss the potential benefi t for tape manufacturers.
