Advanced photonics technologies for industrial applications

In this article the attempt shall be undertaken to contribute to the description of the systematics in modern technology transfer and innovation. From the very fundamental views of general physical laws and corresponding domains on the one hand and basic market potentials on the other hand, in the field of optical technologies the R&D processes will be analyzed. Generalization of three examples of innovations shall lead to common characteristics and thus to systematic aspects of the innovation process in so called `vertical structures'.
