Title

Precision assembly with industrial robots

Abstract
The minute size of insertion parts with fitting tolerance as well as the low insertion play on chamferless parts prevent applications of industrial robots in the assembly of precision engineering products. The new development of a tolerance compensation system with vibration-aided mating techniques enables assembly jobs with an insertion play less than 001 mm and positioning deviations of 05 mm in a short search time.
