Title

Upconversion detection of picosecond terahertz pulses

Abstract
We present our work on terahertz detection using an upconversion approach operating in the near infrared regime, as published in [1]. Using periodically poled lithium niobate, terahertz radiation is upconverted to the optical spectrum, which enables the use of sCMOS technology to detect the signal. Both terahertz and optical sources emit pulses in the picosecond regime, offering precise timing information suitable for time-of-flight measurements.
