Specific ranges of workpieces require a customized NC programming, because universal solutions do not cover, as a rule, the particular problem areas of the user. Standardised basic software components and ergonomic aspects are gaining an increasing importance with the development of application systems. In the following, the conception and implimentation of an NC programming system is discussed which is used for the five-axis machining of compressor impellers.
