IBM PC-based receiver for meterological telemetry

For the use in a meteorological measurement system (radiosonde system) an IBM PC based telemetry receiver has been realized. It provides coverage of 398 to 410 MHz and 3 different IF bandwidths. Two antenna inputs with scanning diversity and a high third order intercept point can handle even difficult receiving situations. It Is used in a compact modular ground station, but it can be used in other telemetry systems as well (center frequencies in the 400 ... 800 MHz range and IF bandwidths are possible). For the integration into a framework programm an appropriate driver software is available. The receiver can be controlled via the AT bus or serial interface.
