Changeability in production planning and control

Rapid changes are characterising the market and supplier situation of manufacturing companies. Changeability ensures their ability to operate successfully in this environment. One topic of changeability is logistics, and in this context especially production planning and control (PPC). This paper presents a framework for designing a changeable PPC system and discusses the relevant enablers for changeability. Two examples illustrate how PPC changeability can be achieved.
