Filterless Optical WDM Metro Networks Exploiting C+L Band

Abstract
Design solutions for C+L filterless networks are proposed and experimentally validated. Results show that, compared to C-band filterless networks, capacity is effectively doubled without doubling the deployed amplifiers.
