Statistical multiplexing for SVC over DVB-SH

In this paper, we want to present and disuss the first results obtained for the ESA study on "Scalable Video Coding Applications and Technologies for mobile satellite based hybrid networks". The reference use case under investigation will be statistical multiplexing with and without scalability to meet the total multiplex bit rate of a DVB-SH system for a certain number of audiovisual services.
