Präzisionshandlingsystem zur Feinjustage von Sende- und Empfangsmodulen an Wellenleiterstirnflächen

The accurate adjustment of emitting and receiving modules in front of buried wave guides inside electric-optical PCBs is realizable for the direct-coupling light principle only manually operated up to now. In this article a new developed high precision handling system is introduced, that enables vertical fine positioning and gripper integrated angle adjustment in opposition to conventional Surface Mount Technology. A short outlook to continuative research activities in the joint project MIMS concludes the remarks.
