Title

Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers: A Quantum Sensor for Magnetic Fields

Title Supplement
A work in progress
Abstract
Quantum systems can perform better in terms of accuracy resolution, and sensitivity than their classical counterparts. In addition, quantum sensors have the potential of drift-free operation with reference to the constants of nature. This different paradigm can be addressed with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers. At Fraunhofer IAF, within the strategic research field "Quantum Technology" we are working towards transferring quantum sensors based on NV centers to industry. Their implementation will be supported by various approaches for sensing with NV centers to promote the rapid implementation of this technology in industrial innovations.
