CAD/CAM-coupled image processing systems

Image processing systems have found wide application in industry. For most computer integrated manufacturing facilities it is necessary to adapt these systems thus that they can automate the interaction with and the integration of CAD and CAM Systems. In this paper new approaches will be described that make use of the coupling of CAD and image processing as well as the automatic generation of programmes for the machining of products.
