Einsatzmöglichkeiten der digitalen Bildauswertung im Verkehrswesen

Although in the field of traffic systems there exists a variety of possible applications for the digital image analysis, up to now a practical use took place only in few cases. this article is meant to give proposals to improve this situation. For that purpose first of all fields of research and potential fields of application are introduced and subsequently there will be shown by means of three examples which possibilities the digital image analysis offers for the development of intelligent parking service systems.
