For some time now, FRPs have been the first choice reducing CO2 emissions in the mobility industry, due to their low weight. However, given the controversies and consumer criticism of plastics, the composites industry is confronted with increasing demands on the recyclability of its materials. Recycling approaches fail all too often because of one serious issue: the inevitable shortening of the fibres.
