Titel

Architecture for the propagation of changes of VO membership data to a heterogeneous application landscape

Abstract
In a Grid environment many different systems like the operating system, grid middleware, batch systems, web portals etc. play together to provide services and functionality to Grid users. Managing user accounts in all those software systems is a difficult task because of the heterogeneity of the systems and their distribution over many resources. A virtual organization (VO) management system like VOMRS provides a common solution to manage user account across different resources. Changes in VO membership should lead to creation, update or revocation of user rights and accounts in the aforementioned systems. Since this is a common problem usually dealt by ad hoc shell scripting that quickly become complex and hard to maintain, we tried to come up with a more systematic and modular solution to deal with these administrative tasks that leaves existing systems untouched.
