Agent-guided Collaboration in Groupware Environments

This paper describes an agent based approach to guiding and supporting users during structured asynchronous group work as well as unstructured synchronous communication. Agents provide user-guidance with high-functionality applications, i.e. videoconferencing tools, that are employed in an application scenario. The multi-agent system VIRTUE is presented that clusters several special purpose agents to create a unified and integrated view of collaboration process.
