Titel

Design of a 200 W 3-phase module integrated PV inverter as part of the European project PV-MIPS

Abstract
Within the project PV-MIPS (Photovoltaic Module with Integrated Power Conversion System) funded by the European Commission an inverter for a 200W PV module is being designed. In order to be successful the module integrated PV-MIPS inverter needs to meet strict requirements in terms of cost, reliability and compact-ness. The usage of thin film photovoltaic modules is very advantageous for the realization of the project. This is due to the fact that their output voltage range can be set by the layout of the cell structure to the characteristic of the cho-sen inverter topology. The paper deals with the selection and dimensioning of an appropriate inverter topology and shows characteristic data.
